FASHIONreview: tips of the weeks :D

how to makes you face glow:
-use cleanser after sleep and after fro school, work etc. use this cleanser;
Milk Cleanser: This is one ingredient that forms the base of many cleansers. Take full cream milk in a small bowl. Dab a cotton pad in it and spread it all over the face. Using clean fingers, massage the milk into the skin in upward and circular motion. Take another cotton pad, dip very cold water and remove the milk from the face and neck.refrigerate. Cleanse the face with this concoction using a cotton pad.

-use face tonic after it. use this toner;
Cucumber Honey Toner: Puree one medium sized cucumber in a blender and sieve it to get the juice. Add one teaspoon honey in it and blend well. Store covered, in the refrigerator. Smooth over face and neck twice in a day.

Apple Toner: The juice of a well cleaned apple works as an excellent astringent. Smooth over the face and let it dry.

-then use face mask in the afternoon. also use this mask;
Honey Face Mask: Soak a clean hand towel in warm water, squeeze out all the water, and place it on your face for a minute. This will open up the pores. Now, apply honey on the face and neck and rinse it off, first with warm water, then with cold after half a hour. Use it once a week after cleaning the face well.

Egg White Mask: Separate the egg yolk from the white and add a little milk to it. Blend it well, and using a thick clean paint brush, apply it all over the face and neck in upward direction. Let it dry, let it really stretch the face. Rinse face with cold water. This is an old beauty treatment used by Japanese women.

Avocado Carrot Cream Mask: Combine one ripe avocado (mashed), one steamed and mashed carrot, half cup fresh full cream, one well beaten egg and three tablespoons of honey in a bowl. Blend it well until smooth. Spread it all over your cleansed face and neck and leave it for half an hour before washing it off with cold water. It is best to lie down when you have the mask on, else it could drip down.

CELEBissue: Elvis & Michael live on through their music

I do not know when he did it but somewhere before his death more than a year ago, Michael Jackson jotted down these lines. We only live once. Since we are given the gift of life, it should be our persistent endeavor to immortalize ourselves, no matter what field of endeavor we choose.

Michael chose music for himself and after listening to his new album Michael and to Viva Elvis by Elvis Presley, I say that nothing guarantees immortality better than music. Just think, both Elvis and Michael have already departed for the great beyond, but here they are, as exciting as ever in these CDs. Thanks to their music and the wonders of technology.

Aside from his comeback tour This Is It, Michael was also working on a new album at the time of his death. In fact like most artists, he was constantly working, laying down tracks that might make up a future album. The legend is growing that he left hundreds behind. Given how technology can pretty much do anything to sound, fans can look forward to more of these posthumous CDs in the future. Here in Michael is the first batch.

He may not have done any new stuff for almost a decade. His last was Invincible in 2002, but Michael never lost his touch for a pop hit. The songs in this CD, which are simpler than usual, are hit materials and while he may not be all in good form vocally, it is still Michael you hear most of the time. Word is going around that it is not really Michael singing. I do not know if this is true or not. All I know is that Michael sounds like a Michael Jackson album.

It is rather laid back and not as perfect as he would have wanted it. But it delivers the goods, despite being a posthumous release made up of snippets, he would have never allowed to be released. Of course, I also cannot help but imagine what Michael could have done with these materials in the studio had he been given a chance. But I see no room for complaints about this album. Michael was such a natural with pretty melodies and there are plenty here. It is also great to find him collaborating with a surprising line-up of artists, Akon, 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz.

The romantic (I Like) The Way You Love Me is the best of the lot, maybe because, it was previously included in his Ultimate Collection album. That means it is the most complete cut in the CD, and is the way Michael envisioned the finished version. Best Of Joy, which has the makings of a classic is another. He could have done wonders with this one.

The single release is the easy and catchy Hold My Hand, a duet with Akon. The other cuts are Hollywood Tonight; Keep Your Head Up; Monster, featuring 50 Cent; Breaking News; (I Can’t Make It) Another Day featuring Lenny Kravitz; Behind The Mask; and Much Too Soon.

Viva Elvis is another Cirque Du Soleil production. Remember how they also did Love with the music of the Beatles, remixed and mastered and in some cases also rearranged by George Martin who also produced many of the original recordings. Well, if the Beatles show was a success, then what’s to stop the Cirque Du Soleil from also doing a show using the music of Elvis Presley.

And so here is Viva Elvis, a sight and sound experience that was set to open at the new Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas this month in time for Elvis’ 75th birthday. The latest news have it that this opening has been moved to February, but that does not really matter. What does is that the music of Elvis is alive again in Las Vegas.

The vocals in the Viva Elvis soundtrack are the originals by Elvis, but all the arrangements are new. These are fantastic, and were created especially for the show. The result is simply amazing. I cannot help but think of how strong and totally ageless these songs are. And I am talking only from the sound point of view. Can you imagine what it would be like hearing the music while watching the show? Awesome probably.

Of course there is also an emotional factor involved in this reaction. It can’t be helped. Presley was an exceptional vocalist who could really involve listeners with his songs. Prepare for lots of goose pimples. Love Me Tender, pared down to basics and presented as a boy/girl duet is particularly affecting.

Also included are Blue Suede Shoes; That’s All Right; Heartbreak Hotel; King Creole; Bossa Nova Baby; Burning Love; Memories; Can’t Help Falling In Love, also a duet; You’ll Never Walk Alone; and for the grand finale, Suspicious Minds.

CELEBissue: Justin bieber talks bout MJ on vanity vair

Bieber considers the “best” to be the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Tupac. “Music is music, and I’m definitely influenced by Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men and people who were black artists—that’s what I like. But I like their voices and I like how they entertain—it’s not about what color they are.”

“Michael [Jackson] was able to reach audiences from young to old; he never limited himself,” Bieber says of the King of Pop, of whom he has a sticker on his bedroom mirror in his tour bus. “He was so broad, everybody loved him, and that’s what my goal is—to basically make people happy, to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me.”

“It’s hard to really balance myself. A regular kid, if he catches the flu, he just gets to go home,” Bieber says of the challenges of trying to be a regular teenager. “But I can’t do that…. Everything is important. But, you know, my sanity is important, too. Even if I’m angry, I’ll just put a smile on my face and fake it. I don’t often fake it—what’s me is me….I know I have to give up a lot of myself, or a lot of a private life.”

CELEBissue: Defence to argue Jackson killed himself Hearing today into manslaughter charge

Lawyers for Michael Jackson's personal doctor will argue that he killed himself, prosecutors claimed ahead of a pre-trial hearing today into the pop icon's death.

The case centres on the role of Conrad Murray, a cardiologist who faces charges of involuntary manslaughter over the June 25, 2009 death of the "King of Pop." Jackson died at age 50 from drug-induced respiratory arrest.

At the preliminary hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor will decide whether there is enough evidence to try Murray, 57, on charges of involuntary manslaughter -essentially, a killing done without malice.

Murray is accused of administering a powerful cocktail of sedatives and painkillers to help Jackson sleep, and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

A prosecutor claims defence lawyers will say Jackson woke up that night at his Beverly Hills mansion and injected himself with an overdose while Murray was out of the room.

"I do think it's clear the defence is operating under the theory that the victim, Michael Jackson, killed himself," said Deputy District Attorney David Walgren at a preliminary hearing last week.

"They don't want to say it, but that's the direction in which they are going," he added. A defence lawyer declined to comment on any theories outside the court.

There is likely to be strong emphasis in the hearing on Murray's use of propofol, an anesthetic used in surgery, to treat Jackson's insomnia. The powerful drug is not approved for home use or to treat sleep disorders.

A preliminary hearing is usually a routine procedure in which only one or two witnesses are called, but prosecutors are set to call as many as 35 witnesses, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Those summoned are expected to include medical experts and investigators as well as the security guards and staff present in the days and hours leading up to Jackson's death, it said.

The 24-page lawsuit claimed that Murray spent 47 minutes on the phone while Jackson was dying.
