The MichaelJjackson's Songs on 'Glee' Super Bowl Episode Previewed

The Super Bowl episode of "Glee" will feature a variety of tunes from Michael Jackson's iconic "Thriller" to Lady Antebellum's hit "Need You Now". Just two weeks before the highly anticipated episode makes its debut on the small screen, fans are treated with a short listen to four of the songs.

The first snippet hears Lea Michele tackling a county song as she and co-star Mark Salling perform a duet of "Need You Now". It is followed with a mash-up of Michael's "Thriller" and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Heads Will Roll" by the member of New Directions with Kevin McHale singing the lead.

Recalling the recording of the mash-up, Kevin who plays Artie told Entertainment Weekly (EW) he was still battling with a nasty flu virus. "I was like, I have to sing it. I don't ask for anything. I don't have to sing for the rest of the season - I just have to sing 'Thriller'," he said. "And I recorded it sick with, like, a 102[-degree] fever."

The next song previewed offers a male twist on a Destiny's Child's song as Darren Criss' Blaine and The Warbles cover the all girl group's "Bills, Bills, Bills". The last one hears Cory Monteith performing a solo number. The actor portraying Finn on the series delivers The Zombies' "She's Not There".

To air on Sunday, February 6 following "Super Bowl XLV", the episode titled "Thriller" will see Mr. Schuester and Coach Beiste devising a plot to bring together the warring glee club and football team factions. Meanwhile, Sue is desperate to win cheerleading Nationals and launches a dangerous plan to bring home a trophy.

Speaking of their "Thriller" take, series star Lea told EW, "You can never re-create something as incredible as 'Thriller,' and I don't think we're trying to. We're making it our own." Co-star Cory chimed in, "This is up there with the Rocky Horror, Madonna, and Britney [Spears] episodes, because there's so much production going into it."
